Colorado is in the midst of a profound demographic shift that will reshape its economy and communities for decades to come. The most predictable force influencing the state’s future is not technological advancement, climate change, or partisan politics – it is demography.
Colorado is aging rapidly, yet the systems that underpin economic security – housing, workforce, retirement, and care – were designed for a much younger population. At the same time, the state ranks in the bottom quarter nationally for affordability, placing increasing strain on households across the lifespan.
Our mission is to advance smart, equitable policies that make aging more affordable in Colorado, and our vision is one of opportunity, economic security, and resilience across the lifespan.
